The Depth Micrometer has been designed for internal measurement. Maintaining the
same accuracy, the display indicates true depth from the sole. The depth micrometer
referenced to a flat plate prior to use and can then be re-referenced to this plate each
time it is switched on, or can be calibrated to the measured length in the extended position
for the quicker start-up.
