Q. What is the minimum computer specification required to run QS-Pro?

A. QS-Pro makes no demands on a computer over and above those already made by the Windows operating system, and almost all new PCs on sale today will be suitable.  If you are thinking of using an older machine you should ensure it has at least the following...

• 1GHz Pentium IV or AMD Athlon
• 512MB RAM
• 500MB free hard disk space
• 800x600 screen, 16384 colours
• Function keys, cursor keys, numeric keys
• CD drive or network connection
  (for installation only)

More memory will often make a greater difference to the apparent speed that QS-Pro runs than a faster processor.

A pointing device such as a mouse, trackball or touchscreen, while not absolutely essential, is very strongly recommended.

Where QS-Pro is run on a network the faster the better.  A 10MHz network will be usable as long as the database remains small, but a faster network is recommended - and is essential for larger databases.

QS-Pro v2.x and earlier (no longer supported) will run under Windows 9x/ME/NT4/2000/XP.  QS-Pro v3.x and later require Windows 2000 (SP2) or Windows XP.
