QS-Pro's real time measurement capabilities give you live cursor and mimic displays that move as your measuring instruments move.  This sort of responsive view gives you a 'feel' for the quality of the measurement, for the location of the part in the gauge perhaps.  You wouldn't play a game where the display moved only when you pressed a key, would you?
