QS-Pro can prompt you to enter a serial number for each part you measure and can 'tag' measurements with additional information such as who made the part, who measured it, what batch of raw material was it from, which machine was it made on, etc. etc.  You decide whether or not to collect serial numbers and tag data when you create the batch, and you determine exactly what tag data to collect.

Answering such questions as who supplies the best material, or which machine holds the tightest tolerances is a snip!

Collecting the tag data is no problem - just set up the tags once when you start a new batch and QS-Pro will remember them and offer to use the same tags each time you run the batch.  You can change them at any time of course.  Even serial numbering can be painless as QS-Pro provides easy incrementing - a single click is enough to move on to the next serial number in the sequence.
