QS-Pro's visual drag and drop job configuration means you can create a screen 'view' precisely tailored to your measurement job. The display is built up from a selection of cursor and chart 'controls' (to display live measurements and recorded data respectively) which you place in the QS-Pro window just where you want them. One job may require only a couple of live measurements and go/ho go traffic light controls while another might need detailed statistics and process control charts. Once you have created and configured the job it's there for future use just by selecting it from a menu, and you can password protect it so others can't change or delete it! |

Start with a blank page or with a job you created earlier (QS-Pro calls them 'batches' and in general a QS-Pro batch matches a production batch or works order). Define the part in terms of features to be measured, tolerance limits, and the instruments you will use to make the measurements. Features can be measured one at a time with hand held instruments or in groups if you have a gauging fixture or other automated system. QS-Pro shows a tree view of your part - here with only a single feature. |
From QS-Pro's control palette, select columns, mimics, charts, histograms, traffic lights, labels, drawings, photographs etc. to build up a display perfectly suited to the measurements required, and to the way they will be carried out. Create a flat display with everything visible at once, or for more complex jobs break the measured results and statistics into pages for a clearer presentation. |
Drag the controls and re-size them to create a pleasing and easy to grasp picture of your results. As you attach the controls to the features you defined earlier they scale themselves and you're ready to start measuring. Naturally you can fine tune things, manually rescaling controls perhaps, or changing colours, number of chart points etc. |

Switch from design mode to data entry mode and measure some parts. After a short while you'll go from drawing to measurements in a couple of minutes. |
